The ruffle dress is a loose-fitting dress with a wide gathered section as the skirt. The dress features a round neckline and is fastened at the back with ties in a keyhole opening at the neck. The dress has no lining but has facings at the neckline and armholes.
 
This pattern is designed for woven fabric types. It is recommended not to choose fabrics that are very heavy and stiff, as it will not drape very well. Fabrics such as poplin, woven viscose, linen, light-weight denim, lightweight wool, seersucker, cotton satin, jacquard and cotton twill all work well for this
dress.
